A Palmers pub

The Lion's Den

Beaminster and surrounds

Other stuff

Palmers ales are brewed in nearby Bridport using water from their own naturally rising spring. We of course also serve lagers, wines and spirits as well as cider made from apples grown in an orchard less than a mile away and Black Cow Vodka, made two streets away!
We serve wonderful food made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients including the famous Beaminster banger from Nick Tett, the butcher just over the road from us! With the emphasis on quality and sustainability we serve lunch, including light bites, and dinner, teas and coffee as well as ploughman's and Dorset cream teas in the afternoon June, July, August.
Located upstairs, The Lion's Den is an entirely separate bar. There is tv showing football, rugby and other sports, a dart board and a pool table. Keep an eye on here and our Facebook page for news of comedy nights, open mic nights and live music - rock, R&B, folk and jazz.
It can be used for friends and family celebrations and PARTIES or business meetings and classes such as yoga, arts and crafts etc. USUALLY THERE IS NO CHARGE.

The peace of the open countryside is a minute away and there are endless walks and bridleways, the views are stunning. Ask us for maps and a picnic.
Beaches at Burton Bradstock and West Bay are a fifteen minute drive and that of course gives access to the rest of the spectacular Jurassic Coast .
